Pulled this bad boy home on a trailer yesterday. My brothers ford 6.0 engine blew up and he wound up with needle bearings in his oil pan and everywhere else so my dad and I picked this up and we’re gonna build it up for him and drive it to Illinois to surprise him with it as a gift for getting into an engineering PhD program
It’s a 1997 2.5L manual with 208k miles
Already got lift, bumpers, 4.88 gears, 32s, 17” method wheels, slip yoke eliminator, exhaust, full doors and a hard top on the way

I should add- i trailered it home because even though the engine and transmission run like a top, it was infested with roaches and those don’t fit into my idea of a good time driving

Had a great time at Quick_Shifters shop today! He did the transmission service, installed the Amp power steps, s&b cai-replacing the K&n I had installed when I first got the truck- & suspenion max end links. He isn’t satisfied until the job is done right, the fit & finish with the wiring for the steps looks factory, I would wager probably better. The only shop for my truck!
Great to hear!!............wish he was closer to me:(

So ive done this before, i got new wheels a few weeks ago. I like the look of tires having white wall letters so i touched them back up. Its hard to find a tire with white letters anymore. An allterrain tire anyway. What yal think?

Definitely a NASCAR touch :waytogo:

I would suggest balancing out the letting though. Needs to have lettering on the opposite side (12 & 6 o’clock positions, or at the 4, 8 & 12 positions if you prefer.

I agree. You should gain 75 HP with balanced lettering. Seriously, looks good and would look great balanced.

Yeah, but with ridge grapplers it has nitto, ridge grappler and the size on the side wall i think tjat would be to much, i wish it was at the 6 and 12 positon

From the pic looks like there’s still lettering elsewhere on the tire, granted it doesn’t say ‘Nitto’ but that’s fine. Doing the ridgegrabber part, etc will help

Got the EcoDiesel airbox mod done today (link for the unaware), then working on the camper the rest of today (with plenty of AC breaks). Resealing things on the roof, replacing some odds and ends plastic broken bits, then replacing the sewage valves, both are leaking just a bit in to the cap which makes for a not fun dumping experience. Then last up is some storage organization.

That should be all the prep for this seasons camp this weekend, then a cross country move next week.

It has been hot and muggy. Not used to that. Been working in Tucson. Rained everyday last week. Ready for low humidity and 95 degrees.
