Bye bye 169” wb. Hello 138”:favorites37: gotta finish up a little frame work today then on fitting fuel tank, and getting hard lines shortened. Drive shaft built and then onto bed. Hope to be able to have it running and rolling by next weekend

Wasn't a good day, took Trixie on her last ride. It was to the vet. Cancer sucks.View attachment 215832

We just did the same thing with our 11-year-old Border collie about a month ago. You just think your tough till you have to make that last drive. I'm sorry man, I understand exactly what your going through

Well, lets just say I had all 4 wheels off the ground at one point during work... But I really neglected servicing the ICON Coil overs as they had about 80,000km on them and my truck is used for work that consists of 90% offroad / 10% highway (Work in the Oilsand Mines)

So when it came to trying to figure out how to remove this strut as the bottom boot is not supported on the lower control arm, the spring was ready to launch out of it. Luckily I was able to lift the truck by the frame to a good height, lifted the lower arm to remove the tire and then i was able to slowly lower it.
Came out like a glove and no rocket of a spring launched in the garage!

This time I went and ordered the BDS's full length FOX Coilover because I did not like the spacer plus strut for a 6" lift but it cost me a arm and a leg... But I hope it will be worth it as I do have a lot of weight in the front with the GoRhino Bumper, winch and 37's.
Lesson learned, make sure to service them as noted in the manufacture specs, and maybe I should go slower at work.... Ha.

Spent the day Friday working on the rear end. Got the new upper and lower tubular rear control arms, new adjustable rear panhard bar, new Timbergrove 6" drop rear air bags, new Hellwig powder coated rear sway bar, Hellwig adjustable rear end links plus my new rear cross drilled rotors and powder coated calipers installed. Still have to bleed the brakes and adjust the pan hard bar, will do Monday. Had a local mechanic come do the work in my garage, took him a little less then 4 hours to do. Here are a few pics. Will be cleaning all before the wheels are mounted, cant wait for that fun to begin!

just got my sideshooter led back up lights installed. They’ll compliment my LUYED reverse bulbs well.
I like how it phases out your license plate when they light up too.
I bet that's handy when you're running from the cops.....

I love the progress brother! I’ve looked at running the timber grove 4” on my rear with the belltech 2” coils on the front. When I do this are there any other parts that have to be replaced? I plan on upgrading control arms, shocks, and sway bars in the future but I’d rather spread them out if possible.

Had a productive day. Ended up wrapping the taillights in a light smoke film (did the 3rd brake light a few days ago). First time actually doing it myself and think it turned out ok. Also ended up getting 35's on my stock sport wheels with 2" spacers. Getting some rubbing at full lock which I plan on trimming tomorrow. Will grab better pics as well.

Thanks bro! If you go with the Timbergrove bags you wont be disappointed. I do recommend that you get an axle relocation kit for the rear. This will recenter the axle in the wheel well and fix the pinion angle problem that comes with lowering the rear. Here is a link to check it out from IHC. This is for the no cut kit, recommended for the 4" rear drop.

From there website:

  • Recenters rear wheels to fender well
  • Eliminates wheel hop
  • Corrects pinion angle
  • prevents swaying at high speeds
  • Can easily be returned to stock
