OK in the TIPM there are multiple spare locations
what do I need to do to add a working fuse to one of those locations?

I ask because just plugging a fuse in does absolutely nothing as the contacts for the
spare locations sit much lower

What are you trying to add or do?

Under the driver's seat you'll find a 12v power supply it's for power seats

was looking for something in front of the dash as I don't want to lift the carpet to run a wire..

figured I could use the underhood light circuit if I can find the right plug end for it
but I would rather figure out why I cant add a fuse tap to one of the spare openings

There isn't a feed going to any of the spares. I usually tap into the 12v power supply on the dash. There should be 2. Depending on the year of your truck you may have 1, I still call them cigarette lighter style plug, and a USB port or 2 cigarette lighter one's.

yeah unfortunately they are switched and that's my problem.. since I don't have the center console
where I can move the fuse to make one of them a constant 12v that's why I want to add one myself

there is a live pin in the TIPM so I guess I will be tapping that and using an inline fuse.. I was just hoping I could use
a fused tap and keep everything inside the box

ok decided to use a fuse tap and piggy back off of the underhood light location..
I don't have an underhood light and don't have plans to add one for now so it will serve
my purpose just fine

When connecting my plow there was no double space available in the fuse block, so I wired an inline directly to the battery. Just another wat to go about it.

If that is F87 your referring to, that powers the air suspension, ITBM, and steering control modules.
