I had twins.... Had to sell my sled... There is noo snow there... Here is some snow...

The trail head(just behind the truck) is only about 6K feet. You have to climb about 1000 ft(2-3 miles) on hardpack trail before getting to the good stuff.

I sold my sleds 3 years ago when my youngest was born. It's much more cost effective to rent when you can only go 2-3 times a season.

I've been trying to convince my wife that would be the way to go when we retire, but shes not to thrilled on the TC idea. Nice looking rig...

Thank you. My wife wasn't either until she climbed into one. She won't travel any other way now.

That's awesome! Good to see a 6.4 being worked like that. Impressive mileage for a load like that. What are you running for a 87 tune and aftermarket muffler?

What kind of mileage are you guys seeing while pulling campers? Kinda curious as to what I will be seeing... I was only getting 9 out of my cummins, loaded to the gills or empty...

I get 8's and 9's towing 8000# with the ATV in the back of the truck. Forget the evic as it is always off about 1 MPG.

Towed the travel trailer from Spanish Fork, UT to Cortez, CO and back. Got 9 mpg. There is only one grade I couldn't hold speed on(just out of Moab). The truck finally shifted to 3rd, and I was back up to 63 at the top.

Bought mine right before winter, so today towing the camper to the tire shop to get new shoes was its first tow. Headed on a trip in a few weeks so will have better review and mileage reports after. On the 15 mile trip down a relatively flat piece of interstate and through town my first impressions were slightly better than expected from the 6.4 gasser. Compared to my old diesel, gets it up to speed just fine. We'll see on the big hills.

Not towing this time, but bed capacity - I was able to fit 2 yards of dirt into the bed :naughty:

Wee bit on the heavy at around 5,000lbs, but wasn't squatting horrendously.

Well we made a short, rather hilly trip to our local lake with our camper this weekend. Coming from a cummins I have to admit i'm not terribly impressed. The truck did well for what it is. I averaged 7.5 mpg hand calculated.

To be fair, this trip was literally all moderate sized rolling hills, also it is 20 miles to the lake with 4 stops and turns, so most of the trip was getting back up to speed.

We take a longer 300 mile one way trip over memorial week that will be almost entirely interstate and fairly flat... will report back then...
