I'm just curious. I have no idea what to store on this shelf under the window controls other than dust. Any good ideas? Seriously now. I've never had this little shelf on any of my previous Rams.

Driver side I'm pretty sure I have a can of spray paint for my steel target, used to have a quart of oil in the passenger side that's in the toolbox now.

I used to have a fixed blade in the same pocket with the spray paint on the driver side, then I reached for the knife one day and bumped the can making it spray the inside of the pocket so I figured I should keep those two things separate.

That’s where I kept a spare pair of work gloves before I started buying trucks with Ramboxes. My 5th gen has a foam bottle holder there.

In the driver door pocket, I have various hitch pins and leather work gloves. I keep a hatchet in the rear door along with fire gloves (welding gloves). In the passenger door there is a bottle of Isobutane with a stove attachment and a Thermacell backpacker. And in the rear passenger door is the snow plow controller (when not connected for winter months), some padlocks and chains. Under the back seat are tool bags, ropes and cables, propane torch and even a couple of fix blade knives. And I keep all the ratchet straps and bungee cords in the rear seat floor boxes.

But I haven't any good idea what to use that small little shelf for under the window controls. Maybe a travel pack of kneenex, but I already keep a blue roll in the upper glove box. I keep loose change in the center console coin box thing.

Maybe it'll just end up being a dust shelf after all?! I dunno..

I have a foam bottle holder in the bottom door pocket as well. But this isn't that bottom door pocket, this is a little bitty shelf under the window controls in the arm rest area.

Now I’m gonna have to go out and look at my door panel :anitoof:

I've used the bottom spot for bottled spring water, but that little shelf/pocket I've never used. There are several around the truck that I've never used.

I wish I had larger space, not more little ones. Maybe the ability to fold the rear seat forward and put things that are maybe 6-10 inches deep back there. The sub woofer is under the back seat. I have just one (yet another) too small pocket. I keep a tow strap there, I never needed it or used it. It's not even big enough for a hitch.

I'm guessing the 5th gen door panels would be a bit different than the Classic body style.

My previous 4th gen is an SSV which is just a platform for the police package etc. and was based on an ST usually (I think). So I guess they gave those trucks the 'No Frills' door panel because I was surprised when I noticed the little bitty shelf in the Warlock.

I found a picture where it's just filled in, like my 4th gen.

Regards,
My 2020 Ram HD 2500 has that little shelf/ bin. I am yet to use it for anything but a dust holder.

Well, I'm a wee bit too far north to be carrying 9mm mags in that space. :gr_guns:

But:
IFAK and tourniquet.

Thanks Msweets, that's a great idea. It's a good spot for a little first aid kit, knowing where it is and easily accessible without digging through bins and bags elsewhere in the truck.

I have my original Blue Blockers, (in the original case) on there. Very first birthday gift my wife got me when we met back in '82. Sigh, where did life go?
