HAHAHAHA. Didn't even notice it till this thread started and had to go to truck and look for myself. It is there.

Same here.

It's just another dust collector that I'm now looking to make useful.

.

Add me to the list of people that didn't even realize that space was there! :rotflmao:

I may just need to see what I have for flashlights and give that a tey!

I was thinking of adding a thin piece of open-cell foam to the cavity to see if a small flashlight will stay put on bumpy roads.

I currently keep the flashlight in the top of the console box, and sometimes it's a PITA to locate.

The area is a bit too small for my work gloves. They require regular stuffing to stay put.

I wish I had larger space, not more little ones. Maybe the ability to fold the rear seat forward and put things that are maybe 6-10 inches deep back there. The sub woofer is under the back seat. I have just one (yet another) too small pocket. I keep a tow strap there, I never needed it or used it. It's not even big enough for a hitch.
This has, and can be done. I did the rear fold down mod about 3 months after I purchased my 2019 1500 Classic. It's surprising what all you can pack back there. My truck is going in for some work, so I pulled most of what I keep back there. But I keep a 5 ton come along, booster cables, blankets (during the winter), 1/2 torque wrench (with 19mm socket) and as many tools that I can put back there.

I think there is a thread here on the forum to show how to do it, if not, look on YouTube. LOTS of videos that show how to do the mod. Takes anywhere from 1/2 hour to an hour depending on how handy you are and if you have all the right tools (ie a Dremel with cut-off wheel is REAL handy!).

I'm just curious. I have no idea what to store on this shelf under the window controls other than dust. Any good ideas? Seriously now. I've never had this little shelf on any of my previous Rams.

Regards,
OK , You guys I had to get up out of the nice office chair with my coffee and go look,
I was suppose to drive 3 hours to my Doc appointment , but winter came back and roads are messed up.

When I was still a pipe smoker way back, that place would have been good for a pouch of tobacco
But all I found today was 2 dead flies from last fall, and some dust. Leaf blower fixed that problem.

Some are thinking the lower pocket, I keep a rag with tire gauge in it , a water bottle if out for trips, more dust and usually a pair of gloves depending on time of year. Map pocket? use to be called, but we have 2 glove boxes, so that is where the manual and map is with spare sun / night glasses. No dust.:)

Now the center catch all , that would take a while and a pressure washer to check, clean.
