Well dude, that is the sticker I was quoting the 844lbs. I'll post a pix for you when I'm back in town

Well, somethin’s not right because if you have a 2013 Ram 1500, the lowest payload rating on anything pertaining to that is only 1060 pounds so I don’t where you’re getting your number from. Besides- you’ve already told us that you came up with your own weight by taking your truck’s curb weight with you in it and subtracting that from what your GVWR is.

Now we’re talking about axle weights ratings. They have nothing to do with GVWR or where payload comes from. You can clearly determine this by adding your axle weight ratings together. Payload=GVWR minus actual truck weight. That’s it. Your GVWR is 6900 lbs. I’d be willing to bet that your front axle weight rating is 3900, and your rear is 3900. Add those two together, and you got 7800 lbs. Nowhere near, or related to GVWR or payload.

Yeah, I went back up there and deleted that part from my post. I don’t know what I was talking about....lol. But you’re right, that 3900 pounds is the GAWR or gross axle weight rating.

1152 is still pathetic for a full size truck.

I don’t know if this is an air ride truck like mine is- most likely it is but it’s payload is 1780 pounds. I’m not gonna say it had everything to do with it but I bet going from a 5-lug hub to a 6-lug hub helped.

The thing I dislike about mine is it didn’t come lower gears. 8 speed is nice but 3.21 not good

At the time you bought your truck, did they not have a lower-geared one on the lot?

Several articles I've read reviewing the newer trucks with 8 speed.....said the actual ratio at the rear tire was lower with 3:21 in the 8 speed.......than the older 6 speed transmissions with the 3:92.

My 2019 with 3:21 in 4wd low certainly feels lower and pulls at idle stronger, than my 2005 with 3:92 in 4wd low. Same v8 hemi.

I've changed my mind about the seats, they are very nice when CCing.

4th Gen. "dislikes"?

What are some of the least things you like about your 4th generation Ram? (This isn't a knock on the truck at all. I LOVE my Ram and this is my second brand new Ram in 10 years.)
I guess I'll go first.
I don't really like the windshield washer nozzles on the hood. I like the way they were on my 3rd gen Daytona. The other thing I'm not too crazy about is the way the MDS comes on/engages. Don't like the "drone" I guess you call it. These aren't real issues for me, just wanted to see what others have to share.
Wait until they break under the hood! How does that even happen lol.

The rotary shifter knob. Bring back the console shifter.

No. Bring the column shifter back before you bring that goofy thing back. Console shifters only belong in cars and minivans. Go buy a Phord if you want a console shifter.

Keep in mind- his GVWR is 6800 lbs, whereas, those of you questioning him are at 6900 lbs. This will make his payload ~1000 lbs less than most others.

I still wonder what that’s so low though.

But it’s only a mere 300 pounds less than mine. That’s what doesn’t add up. Hmm, oh well. Without knowing what all the deal is with his truck, I don’t know what to say. Even my 2008 Ram 1500 QC had more than that. I think it was around a grand.

They did not. I think with the 35” tires I have and 392 with an 8 spd would of been perfect
