Hi everyone, I am looking into changing my rear diff gear oil...what do you guys use? I have heard Lucas Oil or Amsoil are the ones to use, but anyone have experience using them? Or is something like Castrol good enough?

In my 2013, shortly before it was totaled, I used Mobil1 75w-140 in the rear differential. I will use Amsoil for my 2014 when it comes time, figured I would give it a try. Any quality gear oil should work fine if you aren't pushing it hard (e.g. towing heavy loads frequently).

I don't have limited slip, but do have anti-spin. I asked the service dept. at the dealer and they said to still put the additive in for it.

So then you know what you need now? Any oil with the additive. Quality of oil is up to you.

I just bought 3-quarts of the Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-140 for mine. I don't think you can go too far wrong with any name brand 75W-140 (or even Supertech) so pick your flavor and add the LS if needed.

I bought the Amsoil because the local guy sold it to me for the same price as the Supertech and it most likely has a better additive package and higher quality base stock. Getting actual evidence is a challenge. Amsoil sponsored a "study" but you have to be careful reading too much into these things on the Internet.
