So im thinking of swapping my 20s with some 17 and add some racing tires to it (slicks)

So what kinds of 17inch rim can i use????

I was thinkkng of hoosier slicks on back and some skinnies in the front but dont know sizing or brand i need

So what size of tire do i need on back
And what size tire do i need in front using 4 17" rims????

What tire brand and rim do you guys recommend????

There aren't many options for us with 17" wheels, but most guys run the Hoosier 28x10x17 slicks out back on a 17x8 or 17x9 aluminum wheel. I prefer the 9" rear wheel as it gives a wider contact patch on the track.

As for fronts, in order to run a true skinny front tire, you will need a set of custom 17x4-5" wheels. Nobody offers these in our bolt pattern, but we are currently working with Bogart to become a stocking dealer for their wheels. They are very lightweight and are available in a few different models...only downside is that they run about $575-$600 a piece. They are extremely light weight and good looking wheels though.

If you arent looking to go that far, then the best bet is to just run a factory aluminum 17x7 wheel up front with a street tire in the 225/65/17 range. This is a 28" front tire that will match the height of the rear Hoosier slicks.

Which tire do you recommend up front if i were to get the 17x7 wheel to match the 28x10x17 hoosiers???

A 225/65/17 is perfect for the 17x7 fronts.

If you end up going all out with a set of true skinny fronts (17x4.5 to 17x5), then the M&H 28x4.5x17 is the tire to go with.

8sp trucks are fun, but my little 2011 5sp is the fastest 4th gen hemi truck out there...no 8sp trucks are anywhere close to the numbers we have put down. You can still make that truck very fast with the 6sp transmission.
