What say you? Chrome or paint Ram 1500?

No way Jose with the paint!
Chrome everywhere you can get it.

Of course, my bias is I keep my vehicles til they run into the ground.
Painted plastics grill and bumper edges will fade differently from the body over the years.
Barring actual gouges that rust, the chrome wont fade - heck, it will even outlast the body paint.

I just started painting my chrome this past weekend. Got the front done and have to say I think it looks really good. Also installed a black grill. Still need to paint my rear bumper and wrap the mirrors and door handles but it's starting to come together! Here's a couple of pics.

Paint for me. My chrome RAM had tinfoil thin bumpers front and rear. Seemed like just pressing on them with your thumb would dent them. Paint hides dents better. RAM is tough advertisements are lies where the bumpers are concerned. RAM bumpers are the worst pieces of s**t to adorn the front and rear of anything calling itself a truck.

Chrome bumpers, side steps, and body molding for me, but that's it. Seen guys with added Chrome mirrors, door handles, fuel door, vent visors, just gets to be too much.

Any vehicle really, but specifically on the Ram 1500... what do you prefer and more importantly why?

Im not a flashy guy and basically grew up eating sunday dinner out of Cool-whip containers (ma's 'favorite china'), but man.. when i look at my truck with the chrome front and rear.. it just does something to me; screams SHARP! and classy.

What do you guys prefer? Painted grills/bumpers or chrome?

If you like the chrome, go for it. Doesn't matter what others like, it's your truck.

I recently bought a 2015 1500 with blacked out grille and bumpers (tradesman?) and I kind of like it. I thought of installing some chrome accents, but I think I'll leave it as is.

I prefer painted. Looks cleaner on my Sport. But that's my opinion.

I like the chrome for the most part. My Laramie just has too much at the moment. I'm going to remove the emblems and want to do something with the mirrors...the rest can stay!
Any ideas on the mirrors? I've read they're impossible to remove the chrome covers. I really don't want plastidip or spend hundreds on new mirrors...paint match?
