Well the last truck I looked at wasn't for me, but I just found this on Craigslist. I like it, but since I know how **** goes when in the woods, I'm kinda backing away slowly... I want some experienced opinions... It's pretty much all I wanted to do already aside from lifting it, and the **** chrome taillights... So please let me know if I should jump or hold off...Thanks

Doesn't seem too bad to me. Looks pretty clean for the mileage so I'd say that's a plus. Also it sounds like most of the drivetrain has been replaced. I'd want to see that and the engine bay.

Yeah, I like the trans deal...but look at how much front end stuff had been replaced. Is that a bad sign? Or is it good that it was replaced? I'm going to be keeping it on the street most of the time so I want something reliable, but don't have the $7500 to shell out for a grandpa's truck.

With 115K miles, those things are definately due replacement, so I wouldn't necessarily be worried about that. Have to check a carfax and take a look and a drive in it though, to really tell what condition the trucks in.

Thats good they were replaced, means you shouldnt have to do it. Other than the paint fading and scratching it sounds like a pretty good truck

Same year and engine as mine. And it's black...me likey lol. But yeah, so long as it's mechanically sound, I'd go for it. Like mentioned already, I'd do a Car Fax report on it.....

Looks like all the bad stuff has Ben takin care of. Every 2nd gen with them miles will have to have all that done. This one already has it done so it saves you money in the long run.
Just needs a paint job
I would def buy it.

The front ends on the 2nd gen, especially the track bar, are kinda weak. If he's done the work, then you won't have to.

The 5.9 is a plus over the 5.2 engine but mileage is gonna suck.

I've always liked the Sport models so that's a plus.. The mileage is reasonable and any truck of this age is gonna have scratches and dings.

I'd give it a good inspection if yer serious about it.

I personally like the black sport better of these two. The black looks nice from a distance and it does look clean body wise. Mileage isnt bad on it, and alot of things have been replaced so that should be less stuff youd have to worry about. Id def check into that one before the green one..

I like the black one...but make sure the warranty on the transmission transfers to a new owner. I know I had a lifetime warranty on the transmission I had installed in my Gen2, but it was only valid if I still owned the truck, not to a new owner.

Yeah I am liking the black truck better. With all those parts replaced you shouldn't have to
