I was thinking of making the headlight access door bigger, all you would need to some extra wheel well material, cut a bigger hole, put a cover over it with a couple push pins or whatever.

Then you can sick your hand in there and do more things easily...

the new door can even have a little weather stripping on it or something...

I've wondered about this. Do you think you would be able to change the headlight bulbs without removing the headlight assembly?

I used to have a Nissan pickup that had rubber skirts attached to the bottom of the wheel well liners. The previous owner had attached the skirts to the liners with snaps so to change the oil filter, you only had to unsnap the center snaps, reach in over the tire, and change the filter. Made the job easier and saved some time, but eventually the rubber starting tearing around the snaps.

Yeah, I dunno if you could reach every bulb but you might be surprised at what you can do... at least the turn signal and headlight release would be easier to mess with, not to mention "wire tapping" if you wanted to for any reason...

I would say thin sheet ABS. You'd have to heat it and mold it to shape, then cut to fit probably.

Yup, ABS plastic, and can heat up in oven to mold. Just research ABS plastic near you.

How often are you planning to replace bulbs? :Big Laugh: I did shortly after I bought the truck in 2015 just as a matter of preference and those are still going strong..

Well, went in there once to put switchbacks in from the hole... TODAY I pulled both headlights to put LEDs in...

I'll be going BACK IN cuz my "high beam" bulbs were too long!! From the rubber seat to the end of the housing!!!

Wondering if THESE will work instead...?? https://www.aototop.com/cree-9005-l...10000lm-high-beam-6000k-white-light-bulb.html

I'm on the hunt for ABS plastic and now short base 9005 high beam LEDs
