This is the only thing I've ever towed...no idea on the weight, it was a rented trailer and quads, got 14.1 mpg towing and didn't struggle at all, round trip about 250 miles.uploadfromtaptalk1371448976498.jpg

I have a 28' camper I haul with mine...hauls like a dream...and at work I took 3 2500 gallon water hauling tanks to NC on our 28' lighweight deckover trailer...it wasn't a heavy load...but I had 2 tanks standing on edge about 8' in air over the trailer....and it was like dragging a parrachute behind me...up hil or down hill didnt matter...it was into the wind or agasint the wind that made the difference....lol

Just for the heck of it, I was wondering what the biggest/heaviest things you've towed with your Ram 1500?

I'll start with trailering my Jeep behind the truck. Anywhere more then 100~ miles, I'll trailer the Jeep incase I break something.

P.S. U-haul car haulers don't distribute the weight very well on shorter wheel base vehicles.

My truck pulling my toy hauler. With my sxs and tank full of water, all my spare parts, tool boxes, and spare gas to the races it weighs about 7500 lbs. pulls great. This is what's in the trailer.

These tires are BFG All Terrain LT285/65R20 load range E and they are rated for severe snow unlike the one smaller than them. They end up being 34.7 in and only rub sometimes in reverse only on driver side where it hits a bump that sticks out for a wiring harness connection inside fender well. Long winded hope that helps you.

The car was too rusty and cab ended up coming off the frame. That is what you get with GM haha. Next year I hope to run a Monaco, Newport, New Yorker something like that. I am going to put a lot more time in to make a solid car.

That is a nice setup truck, trailer and sxs.

Do you have weight distributing hitch or air bags?

ON EDIT: I see WD hitch is it setup correctly, perhaps air bags are in your future?

It looks like your truck is squatting a lot with that load though.

Your truck may pull that load just fine, but it does not look like it would be enjoyable to drive.

I am sure you get lots of people flashing their lights at night because the squat has the front end high.
