My son installed 2" wheel spacers on his 2017 Ram 1500 and seems to have developed some wheel shake @ 70 mph. Has anyone else installed wheel spacers and what kind are they? We are taking them back off to see if the problem corrects itself. Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated.

Make sure they are hub centric wheel spacers. I had Bora wheel spacers on my previous Ram. They are perfect, no issues at all.

If they are not hub-centric they are dangerous and I wouldn't touch them.

General Spacer information:
You also want to make sure they are wide enough that the spacers bolt to the hub, and have new studs for your wheels to bolt to. I think this means you need a minimum of 1.75" spacers (I had 2"), to clear the studs on the hub.

I had custom ones made for my Ram so I can personally say I had no problems. Do you know what brand/ size he went with ?

I’ve been using bora 1.75 for about 6 months now ( up for sale next week ) No problems. Have some shaking at 70 but i attribute that to the mr tires. Sure it’s not that ? Did he remove the clips on the hub ?

Clips removed, hub centric on the inside but where the wheel goes against they are not. Should they be?

I've run 1.5" Bora Hubcentric spacers on my stock 20's for winter for the past two years with no issues at all.

If you have hubcentric wheels, then yes, it should be hubcentric on the outside.

Some people use spacers to convert to non-hubcentric to match aftermarket non-hubcentric wheels.

I know that I asked this earlier but can not seem to find the thread. Installed 2" hub centric wheel spacers and I can not get the wheels to quite shaking. First set was not hub centric but the second was. Any help or suggestions would be a huge help.

I forgot to mention that the truck has the air ride suspension...if that makes a difference.
