411E5312-95D6-45DF-8500-C7615E25E3EF.jpeg Hey everyone, My 19 Ram Classic came with 20” chrome clad wheels and I want to keep them nice for summer. I’d like to pick up a set of used 17” or 18” Ram wheels that I can put a more aggressive looking tire on. I’d like to put a tire that looks like something that would look good on a 4WD. I just put a plow on the truck and want a tire that will give me good traction when I need it. Does anyone have any suggestions or pictures of their truck with what I’m looking for? My truck is a 19, but is the 4th gen style truck. Thanks in advance!

I agree with BOWERSFJ you can find used Ram wheels on letgo as well. Sometimes extremely cheap. And I like the Cooper's and Falken's wildpeak AT

Thanks, any idea what wheels I should be looking for? Do you have a picture for reference by chance? Thanks again!

Might as well get a set of take offs and throw snow tires on them. I run studded hankook ipikes. I have a second set of factory 20" with sensors that I install for winter. I think the studs make them look more aggressive and as a bonus they work well on ice so good for plowing snow. Duratracs are also studdable, but even though they're snowflake rated they aren't quite as good as a designated snow tire.

I don’t want the wheels to stick out past the wheel well. I find wheel and tire stuff incredibly confusing and would appreciate any advice and photos. Thanks!

For Winter and snow, a narrower tire is better ... Just pick a 275 wide in a 32” 33” or 34” dia and be done with it ... Too wide, and they just plow rather than cut thru ... Wide also tends to float on top, rather than cut thru down to solid surface ... Save the 12.50’s for summer and sand

Do yourself a favour and get a dedicated snow tire for winter. There is no AT tire that will perform as well as a middle of the pack snow tire.

What you say makes a lot of sense in regards to using a narrower tire. Again, I’m not familiar with what you’re saying in regards to size. So the tire size I should get is a 275/ ? / 17 ? Should I stick with the 17 size that the factory used, or is there another size you would recommend?

Factory is 265/70/17 on 17x7 rim. I would recommend Blizzak or Winterforce tire. As someone who lives in the snow belt, those tires have performed the best. Yokohama IceGuard IG52C has performed well as a studless, close to the Blizzak.

Check out treadwright guard dogs. Best hooking tire I have ever used, you can get them with a special ledge grip and studded and you can not beat the price.
