Since I happened to hit a large dip in the road followed by a bump. I've been hearing what sounds like crushing glass or a fist full of acorns.
Anyone know what's causing it?

Jack the front end up and start checking different parts for play. Unrelated, but make sure your alignment is ok too big pot holes can knock it out slightly.

Front wheel bearing/unit bearing. As posted jack it up and start checking things.

didn't see 2nd gen until after I posted, if you change unit bearing neat trick is to use short extenchion and scocket leave nuts on unit bearing stud at end of stud and have friend turn wheel use stearing to push studs out no hammering with this method, I have done 2 sets of bearings one at 1 at 112,000 miles 2nd set at 300,000 miles,

It only happens when I pull into my driveway. Also I realized that it is coming from the rear suspension system. the shocks are worn and rusted. and the sound is coming from them
