what? it says its a cummins and shows that it in fact has a cummins
There's a guy on DF who's 360 took a crap in his 2002 2wd and he put a 5.9 12v in it. Took a long time to get all the electrical stuff working right. He used 2500 front coils.
I agree with the general population. It would be cool.... BUT you'd be just as good to buy one and make it like you want it. If you want a single cab short bed, you'd be better to take a 2500 CTD Single cab long bed and cut it in half (its been done many times) vs making your 1500 2wd a CTD.
Just for ***** and giggles though, here is a 3rd gen 1500 CTD

Your best bet would either be a 4BT or a 12V IF you were to do it
i just want to be in an elite club where you can black smoke people.

Man I love these treads!
Get a 2500 and have it cut into a shorted if you really want one
A 4bt goes for aroun $4k around here with 12v closer to $7k
It can be done to a 1500, easier on a 2wd IMO as you have a similar suspension to a 2wd 2500
There's a lifted F150 around me, it was pretty cool the first two or three times I saw it
Blatantly rolling coal to be "cool" is pretty frowned upon in the diesel world, well at least here it is haha
Well I'll be damned if I can find out now, but I think it took him the better part of 8 months to get everything working. I think it was 2 or 3 before he got the signals in order for the engine to even fire. It was a very clean install though. Sent it to a guy I worked with who had a 2002 with a 4.7 and was thinking about it.How well does it hold up?
