:welcome: to Ramforum. Since you have the classic, you're still in the 4th Gen family. If not mistaken, many 2013-18 parts will work in a 2019 classic.

From what I have read on-line and on FCA sites, your 2019 Classic has the 2018 tech. FCA had a lot of gen 4 parts left over when they started gen 5 production. You should be able to do the same mods we have done to our gen 4s.

They were produced on the 2018 line.
With a Classic name plate and a 2019 model year.
Truck is a 4th Gen
Payment book is a 5th Gen

Great looking truck!

So when I’m looking for tunes and model year sensitive things, look for 2018?

Thanks everyone for the replies. This is the first Dodge/Ram I’ve owned.

Spent 12 years driving GM. And I love this truck, great power and very smooth.

That’s what I would lean towards. For a fact none of the tech from a 2019 5th gen will roll over to yours. I’d say 18-19 4th gen they prolly didn’t change anything other than price

Yes 2018 will be what your looking for.
Do a vin search on your truck, would be interesting to see what year it falls under.

Good looking truck. If you need suggestions on mod's, we all do really good at spending other people's money, so hold on to your wallet---LOL

Theres no difference from a 2018. Just lie in your profile and say its a 2018, so people don't shun you.;)

That's odd, Truck was made on a 2018 line still under the 4th Gen.
You ended up with a bad ass looking truck for sure.

Thanks! I really like it. It has everything inside that I want.

I’m thinking about sending the hood to my body shop guy and having him make the hood vents actually work.

Thanks for the input. I was curious because it does pull up as a 2019, so I didn’t wanna screw anything by buying 2018 parts.

Watched a video on the holes, a guy used a dremel bit
to drill out ea hole.

Of course it pulls up as a 2019, that’s the entire intent of the “classic” line of trucks, which will continue to be sold alongside the 5th gen models primarily targeting the lower end of the price echelons coupled with commercial sales.

The pricing was great, but I still ain’t sold on the new ram look. I feel like 4th Gen is more aggressive which is why I wanted a Ram.

Welcome

Does anyone know if 5th gen bed is same specs as the 4th gen? Just trying to see if I can use my super expensive 4ARE camper shell that was made for 2013 in a 5th gen modern, not classic
