Hi folks,

Looking to lower my 12 ram with a 2/4" drop. Would like it to ride as close to stock as possible. Any feedback as i'm stumped with all the complaints with belltech, maxtrac etc.
Can i put belltech springs since i have bilstein 5100's on already ?

2" drop spindles will give you the best ride on the front ,as you keep all the factory front components except the spindles. I went through several rear springs and finally ended up using cut down factory R/T springs as they rode better then any of the aftermarket springs .
Helps if you tell us if your truck is 4X4 or 2X4,but the dropped spindles will work on a 4X4,as i repurposed my drop spindles off my old 2X4 and reused them on my 4X4.The red truck in the photos is a 4X4,the white one is a 2X4

Hmm ok good to know. My truck is 4x4. Hella clean underbody there.....
I thought the kit rear shocks were all junk but hearing about the springs is news to me.

Thanks i'm what you might say a bit a n a l about keeping things looking good :Big Laugh: . The truck didn't see all that much winter use out here in Alberta, but it did get used every once inawhile in the winter, but it was always washed underneath, before i put it away after seeing an icy road.
I tried McGauphy's / Belltechs springs etc. on the rear and then went back to my original cut down R/T springs.
I actually got the R/T springs out of the local dealers dumpster after they did a lowering kit on a factory R/T,so they were free, lol
The R/T's use a differant spring from all other Rams, they're a very progressive spring,so you can cut a few coils off them and they still give a very good ride.
I ran bags inside them,to help with load carrying, but they were there more drag racing then anything,as i ran staggered pressures in them to help plant the rear drag radials better at the track. A solid axle always lifts the passenger side rear tire more then the drivers side rear tire,so i ran a bit more pressure in the passenger side bag to offset that issue. Truck gave 707/717 horse Hellcats fits at the track, alot of my Hellcat buddies wouldn't line up against it. Unless they were better on the tree then me,the truck would embarrass their Hellcats:Big Laugh:
