My truck is an 01 1500 with the off road package. In addition to the stock lift i have added an additional 2" of lift for a total of about 4" - 4.5". I am currently running a 33x12.5x17 tire. Do you know if a 35x12.5x17 would fit or would i need more lift. I don't do any heavy off roading so full articulation is rarely happening.

I run a 295/60/20 (I believe it's 34.6") I got room. I did have to remove my nerf bars (they were off a hummer and custom mounted anyways. I do rub a little on the fender liner when turning, but not much at all and thats at full lock.

I was running 33" tires on 16" rims with the stock height of a 2wd 2001 ram 1500... So you should be fine with the tires hight wise but you may rub unless you get a set of spacers

They should fit, i'm running 315/75/16s atm, but another key thing to pay attention to is your rims, if you are changing rims the offset and backspacing need to be looked at as well as the width of the rim. if you are using the same rims, than it is really pretty smple to tell if a bigger size will fit. take some measurements. Since you are running 33/12.5/17 right now and just want to increase the height to 35/12.5/17s than all you need to do is measure one inch all the way along your current tires and see if anything will interfere. do this with the wheels turned all the way in both directions, measure out 1 inch from the top center of the tire, and than on the top of either side. this will tell you where you might expect rubbing, or where you might run into an issue. keep in mind, 315/70/17s are really 34.5" tires, not 35". so if you get tires that are metric, thats just something to know. but since my truck has a 4" lift, and i am running 35/12.5s right now, if your truck has 4-4.5"s of lift, you should be fine.

sorry to change the subject but did you have any problems adding to your lift or did you also change your control arm ?

Control arms needed to be changed. Also needed to add a track bar bracket. The control arms moved the axle forward back to where it started and the track bar bracket recenterd the axle under the truck in terms of left and right.
