Will These Tires Fit?

I have done a good bit of searching and coming up with both yes and no. My truck is 2021 Ram 1500, it has the Rough Country 2 inch leveling kit and the night edition 20x9 wheels. I want to go with a 305/55/20 tire, but I'm being told I need a 20x10 wheel? Does anyone know if the 20x9 wheel will work and/or running a similar setup? Appreciate any responses. Thanks!

It depends on the tire. Most 285 - 305 should fit a 9" wheel with no problem. Whoever is telling you need a 10" wheel may be more concerned with offset than actual width. With a 10" wheel the offset is a bit more negative than the stock wheel, pushing the wheel out towards the fender opening.

What specific tire are you looking at? Manufacturer's wheel width recommendations vary.

Thanks, probably a good idea to check with Manufacturer! I'm looking at the BF All Terrain's and the General Grabbers, price on the General's is tough to pass up!
