I have a 2005 Ram 1500 ST 2X4 V6 Reg Cab with 17s. I just bought some 260/70/17 Wrangler At/s tires and (cuz I do everything backwards), I want to get some new wheels. I picked out the Fuel D574s 17x9 -12 offset, and found a set but the guy at the place I was buying said there would be a clearance issue with the wheel well or fender. He called the wheel manufacturer and they said I would likely need a lift kit installed.
I'm having a hard time understanding exactly how the tires will scrubb on anything as my wheel wells have plenty of clearance. The wheel is only getting slightly wider and being pushed out from the truck a bit. The tires are staying the same size.
To clarify will,
Fuel D574 17x9, -12mm offset wheels fit my:

Also, is there any website or software that can check if a certain tire/wheel will fit on a certain truck?
