Winch on 2017 power wagon not working….help if you can

2017 power wagon winch not working bought it that way any clues where to start

The tangs on the connection corrode on the controls and inside the solenoid box clean all your stuff and it should work it’s a pain to remove the winch just to service it so someone suggested that we mount the solenoid box up underneath the hood I think near the battery is a good spot
