My truck seems to be letting air in when driving. I have read that there is a seal issue in the 2017 truck. I took it into the dealer and they said it was my mirrors and to put them in when driving.

Can someone help me with this? It seems that the deal between my front and back door moved all the time??

I have a 2017 and yes in fact the mirrors do make a noise “at highways speeds and louder when it’s windy”. Lmao dealer said fold mirrors in when driving :wtf: I’d tell them to **** off. And yes the rear seals have a tendency to sag a little bit. I just pop em back up every so often. They do it worse on my 2014 2500 than our 2017 1500.

Don't guess I've noticed it but was thinking about installing rain guards on the windows but on ever truck I've ever had them own created road noise so I'm going to pass on them maybe I won't have the same issue y'all are having.

Best thing to do is use masking tape on areas on the outside where u think air is getting in and drive. If u still hear it pull it off and try another spot until u feel it gets better. That will give u a area to look at.

The mating surface where the door and mirror mount is a common area so try masking around that also.

I think I got that problem too from putting rain guards on my truck. They install on the inside off the track with the window opening, so when the window goes up it gets jammed up with the plastic rain guard in the same track. called weather tec about it and they said they would get back to me guess what they never did.

Check door seals. Especially the ones in between the doors. Mine is constantly slipping off and it’s ridiculous to be honest. I’m also constantly having to push the push pins on the seals around the doors as they pop out and come loose. Something that shouldn’t be an issue or process in today’s world but here I am.

Mirrors can cause that although I don’t notice too much wind noise.

Do you have water leaks ? That could indicate faulty seals and especially around the windshield.

I recently swapped the towing mirrors on my single cab for the painted sport mirrors.
I bought them used for a decent price.

The left side mirror makes a weird sound(click clack) when I’m trying to direct the actual glass upwards.

Also the actual glass tends to shake when I’m driving above 50mph.

The right hand mirror is ok.

Any suggestions please do so.
Thanks

This is exactly what happens with my seals. Even when I place them in the correct spot they still have a air leak in them. The only issue I have noticed with water leaks is when it rains really hard and I open the door water will slide off of the lower area of the door.

Cycle the recirc button on your a/c (center push button on speed control). My 15' made wind sounds and it was the recirc flap letting air by. If I remember correctly you can only do this if its not on MAX a/c. Anyway just play with the a/c and see if it goes away.
