Purchased a 2014 Ram Longhorn with a 5.7. Somehow the wires were burnt on the main wiring harness down by the transmission. Truck would idle rough and gave codes for the wiring harness along with misfire. Took to Dodge dealership and the harness is what they concluded. But I can’t afford the $6000 to replace it. So I cut out the burnt parts, and rewired it with Butt connectors. Now it won’t start at all. Dash says needs to be serviced. Do I need to clear the codes or did I blow a fuse somewhere. (I did forget to unhook the battery before I started). I will pay for advice assistance. Thank you all so much.
