Pretty impressive in a vehicle that’s as aerodynamic as a brick. I noticed it said she was in 4 wheel drive. You guys that track your trucks, do make your runs in 4 wheel drive too?

Absolutely. You’d spin like crazy with how light the rear is on these things.

I assumed so, I figured that in RWD mode it would never hook up.
My 5300 lb 4X4 gained 2/10's at the track with everything ahead of the transfer case removed. If you're spinning in 2 wheel drive, you need more tire under the back end. On 305/17" Mickeys i pull 1.60 60 fts and low 12's at 4500ft DA. DA corrected it runs mid 11's

So rwd & 17” is the ticket. Is your rear suspension stock or semi-stock, or is it custom suspension designed for the track? Just curious, I’ve never driven on the 1/4 mile.

I'm lowered 2/4 and i'm running the earlier Illicit relocation brackets, which correct the geometery under the rear, and actually create body lift to force the rear tires into the pavenment on launch. My truck will hook on a skating rink, lol
Look close and you can see how the brackets move the rear locating arms down, bringing the instant center back to where it's roughly about the middle of the transmission, which creates body lift.

I've taken mine down the track a few times. She's not got enough power to really spin off the line, so I've never run in 4wd I'm too afraid of breaking something! Maybe I should try it... but also our local track is prepped and I just run with my a/t tires so that might be it. I'm still a noob at the track but man is it fun!!!
P.s. the best part is it's a fellow chick in that Durango! It's so much fun getting the jump on some young dude in his challenger or whatever, knowing he's thinking I'm just some middle aged gal in a slow pickup :dogpile:

You and my wife would get along great, lol. She races her Challenger as often as she can,and her best days are when she kicks my rear at the track, :Big Laugh:

Respect. A time slip or it didn't happen, that's what I always say....

Took my diesel on a few joyrides in a straight line...4wd for the fist 60ft, click it into 2wd and stay in it. About that time it's coming into third gear and the ECM is turning up the coal furnace. Away that heavy pig goes....

This is a slip off the wifes car,at 3500ft,it beats stock Hellcats pretty easily up here, takes a pullied/tuned Kitty to give her a run
