For Christmas my wife got me the 87mm and Vararam Cai, I was running the Voilant fast fit.
The night I installed my Jet 180 I went and ran a couple test runs, 14.76 was my results.
Today has been the first time I've had a chance to run my new set up, 87mm TB and the Vararam... 15.2 was my avarage time.... What the hell???

3.0 60 ft time? Something happened on the launch huh? Thats probably it. Did you disconnect your battery for a few minutes to let your tuck relearn the increased airflow? Or maybe some bad gas? My truck runs in the low 90 mph range when I do mine. Like 91-93 mph (with a dead-on speedometer according to GPS). And mine is a crew cab with a bunch of crap in the toolboxes. I think 14.8 or 14.9 was my best ever quarter mile on my BD when I had it installed. Try resetting your truck and I bet it gets better. Hopefully anyways.

Disconnected and then touched neg and pos together after everything was together. I know it's got to be somthing I'm doing because my truck sounds so much better...

Yeah it's gotta be something. I doubt Oklahoma has different blended gas for winter does it? I thought that would just be up north where it gets much much colder? Maybe not driving the truck hard enough and it has learned a different style of driving? haha I know mine is weird sometimes runs real good sometimes not so good

What is the best way to launch? Traction on or off? Manual or auto? Tow on or off?

Wierd that you have a rt and only getting a 6.4 0to60. Hell my express gets 5.7 0 to 60s not tuned and 5.3 tuned. I heard that if the truck spins just alittle with the bully dog its times go way out of wack.

Yah if you spin. Just scrap that log. Its useless. With all the mods its hard to not spin. So best way to get a good true 0to60 run is at the track where its sticky. But that kinda beats the purpose lol.

Good question............what do you guys prefer? Do you get the rpm's up a bit before launching?

Dont go wot. Especially with a stall. Half throttle it at launch. And put manual shift into second and leave it alone for a 60 run

Disconnect

I disconnected my battery and reinstalled my BD changed my shift points to 5800 1-4 took traction control off and just ran in auto.
I smoke my tires, through first and into second...
Track doesn't open back up until march... I will try what you guys are saying for a 0-60 but anytime I smash on the skinny below 40mph my tire break loose.

Because it automatically runs through first and second but it will hit 5800 rpm for first and second. So its pointless to try to manual shift it yourself when the truck can do it for you perfectly everytime. My best times are doing this method.

Makes sense. Do I have to thrift it in to third after.........or do you just brake after hitting 60?

I do my runs in 3rd..It does the same as leaving it in 2nd only it will shift to 3rd.Also I found this out by mistake but it if you do a run from a small roll like say 20mph and you are in manual 1st, The truck will automatically shift to 2nd when it reaches shift rpm.I know some vehicles won't so was shocked to see this 1 do it.

Something's going on that's not normal man. That last run you posted showed a 1.8 60' time. A 1.8 is phenomenal (I highly doubt you actually cut a 1.8 60'). You said you spun all the way through first so it doesn't make sense. And yeah, like someone posted above, if you spin at all just abort that pass.

So is my wheel spin messing with my BD report? I tried putting the truck in 2 & 3 but my truck still just spins the tires.
Think I'll get some Nitto 420's and see how they do. Anyone know if they go 315 wide?
