I've been through 14 pages on the topic of key fob programming but didn't see anything about the other options for programming.
When I first got my truck, first press on unlock only unlocked the drivers door. After having to reset the ECM and a few times borrowing the battery, now when I hit unlock both doors unlock.
I want to change it back to drivers door first and figure out how to get the park lights to flash on lock.
I've tried a few things that I've found on other forums but nothing that works for sure on a 2nd gen.

Thanks in advance

Ok, found a lot of interesting programming information on this site. (Sorry for the link to another forum but it's got a lot of info on this topic).
Only problem is most appear to be for 2002/3 and newer models.
I believe that for 2001 and earlier 2nd gen models the secret to programming is to be inside the truck, seatbelt fastened THEN go through the programming sequences.
The link is for horn on lock but on down there's one for park lights flash.
Haven't tried it yet.

How to disable horn beep/light flash when locking?

I don;t have an owners manual so forgive me if it's in there but how do you disable this feature? Or does the dealer have to do it with a starscan tool? All I want it to do it flash the parking/brake lights just like when you unlock it expect instead of two flashes, just one.

Apparently things changed in programming sequence after 2001.

Sorry for cross posting but it was pointed out to me that this needed to be in the 2nd Gen section.
