newbie with carb questions

i have 86 dodge d150 slant 6 with a bunk carb and i got this one off of rockauto i know there are obvious differences but what im wondering is can i make it work? do i need all that electric crap? im a newbie to the mechanical side of things any help is appreciated

i think it would probably work but it looks like the old carb was possibly already replaced once because of how clean it is. also do you know what ignition system the truck has? the lean burn ignition system usually had a slightly different carb than the 4 pin ignition system.

It was a very poorly rebuilt using jb weld and redneck ingenuity I don't think its a lean burn it doesn't have the lean burn or atleast I don't think it does being that it doesn't have the brain box on the air cleaner.so can I leave those 2 plugs unplugged?

ya if they are not hooked up you can just leave thing disconnected. i just don't think a stock lean burn carb would work too good without the computer which might have been your issue with it.
