Just picked up a 2016 3/4 ton, crew cab 4x4. And it seems like it sits really really high. And I used to own a 2014 one ton, crew cab 4x4.....is there anything I'm missing as far as the ride height difference Is concerned. Thanks in advance. New member, first post. lol

My dad and I have the same trucks, one is a 2015 and the other 2016. They sit exactly the same height. Not sure about the 2014.

Maybe your side steps were different heights

The reason I ask, I put a set of 35's on the one ton and it still fit in the garage...the new truck will be extremely sketchy as far as getting in the garage with 35's

I noticed the 2500's sit pretty high. When I had a 2014 1500 4x4 with 4" lift and 295/60r20s, it sat level to a bone stock 2016 2500 4x4 with stock 18" wheels and tires.

A friend of mine just picked up a 2016 2500 4x4, again bone stock, and it sits level with his 2006 Chevy 1500 4x4 with a 6" lift and 35" tires. The hood on his 1500 is maybe 1" higher than his 2500. It's crazy how high these trucks sit. I love that they fit 35's with no lift or level required.

I had heard somewhere that when Ram switched to a 5-link coil rear suspension on the 2500's, ride height increased as a result. Can't verify that, but possibly this is the reason.

My old ton had the leaf springs, the 3/4 I have now has the cool springs. Still got in the garage after I just put 35's under it. Crisis adverted!!! Thanks for the help everyone.

While the ride height looks great, it sure makes it harder to throw that last layer of bales up there!

Someone posted a pic of two identical trucks on the lot side-by-side and one was visibly 2" higher than the other. I forget the reason behind it.

The ride height sold me on the ram! Along with the power compared to the competition! Ride quality sucks compared to the others!! But who cares, I am driving a truck!!! And its a RAM on top of that! HAHA

Here's a side-by-side of a Power Wagon next to my 2500 Tradesman 4x4 (SC/LB):

Height is close, but the PW is around 2" taller (at least in the front), like others have pointed out.

My friend has a 2011 1500 with a 6" lift on 35's. My bone stock 2016 2500 4x4 megacab is almost level with his.
