First off, I love my truck. However, here is a list of the things I've found to be defective in my new 1500. Hopefully I don't seem too whiny but I just want stuff to work right and if anyone has experience with the fixes it would be nice to know so I can point the dealer service dept in the right direction to sort this stuff out for me.

1- The Digital Speedometer display has a glitch to it when accelerating or decelerating.
The dealer agreed that it wasn't right and had never seen the problem before. they ordered a new Instrument Cluster. My appointment is this Friday.

2- The EVIC does not accept changes for the accessory time off delay, it always reverts to 45 seconds.
The dealer said Chrysler was aware of the issue but does not have a fix.

3- The EVIC does not display the time or radio info if I select it in the menu.
I haven't talked to the dealer about it yet.

4- The EVIC does not stay on the screens that I select from one time driving to the next. Example is if I select to display any of the gauges like oil temperatures, it reverts to the tire pressures the next time I turn it on.
I haven't talked to the dealer about it yet.

5- The SXM radio does not work when it's cold. If I keep my truck in the garage it works find in the mornings. However, if it has sat outside and the temperature is in the 50's or below it can't acquire a signal until it gets warm. It takes a lot longer than my commute to warm it enough to work which makes it worthless.
This can't be normal but I haven't talked to the dealer about it yet.

It seems that everything is tied to the EVIC and/or radio.

I have the same power off delay issue and it can be glitchy at times. Also the sheet metal on the bedside is pretty thin. Mine has waves in it.

My only complaint is a broken RamBox button on the passenger side. I need to take it in, but I don't trust dealers and I don't have time to drop it off for an entire day for something so small.

It's been broken since new.

I love my truck too, but here is my list:

1) Fenders were stained from factory with tire gel (issue only with white trucks and too much tire shine). Dealer replaced with new ones
2) rear parking sensors did not work from dealer (new parking control sensor being installed)
3) Weatherstripping on room of truck came off of adhesive (being replaced)
4) passenger door sits about 1/8" too high
5) steering wheel controls are goofy. Sometime the voice command button will dial a number, sometimes switching through the gauges on the EVIC will call up a voice command (not sure what to do about that one)
6) lots of orange peel on the paint (don't know what to do about that one either)

The uConnect 3.0 is just in general a troublesome ****. It's going to take them a while to iron out the programming. Nothing like paying all this money to be a beta tester eh?!

Today I had a breakthrough with the dealer. They put another parking control module in, and what happened?!?! The same error message popped up. So...I took it to another dealer and they looked for 5 minutes and noticed one wire in the harness was out of the clip. He then ran the scanner and noticed there was a "no ground" fault...I think we finally had a real result. In the process I found myself a new dealer for my service needs :)

The dealer had my truck for most of the day to replace the Instrument Panel.
They fixed 1, 2, 3, and 4!!! Not sure if they did more than just replace the panel and program it but it's all working so far.

It will take more time to see if they SXM works properly. They said Chrysler did not have any known issues nor did they find any issues with mine today.

How did they fix #4, i would to have it stay on the gauges part instead of the fuel eco screen.

I would add also the truck is very wavy almost looks like dents if you get the right light. I have many squeaks and various noises in the cab that I just can't silence.

I find it hard to believe it was truck of the year. Thinking about heading back to Ford if i could sell it, which I doubt i can do without loosing my ****.

I don't know exactly what they did to fix it, only what they said. They said they replaced the instrument panel and programmed it.

Cool thanks. I will let them know what it does when I go in for the recall fix. I just thought that was the way the EVIC worked.

I build software for a living, so the uConnect software drives me insane. Every so often mine fails to start and goes through about a 3 minute reboot process. I wish they would build updates for the earlier models they rolled out.

In other news, my Sport has a factory run in the paint. It's in front of the rear wheel at the bottom of the quarter. Nothing else around it appears to indicate it ever had any damage. Just found it odd. I've never seen a run in a factory paint job before.

It's been a while and everything is working like it should EXCEPT for the darn S-XM radio!
This is really frustrating, every time I take it in for service the darn thing works just fine and they can't find any problems. This week it has been out about 70% of the time with nothing but an occasional second or two of sound, mostly just 'acquiring signal' with no sound.
Sure wish this thing would act up long enough to get it fixed.
Anyone else have similar s-xm radio trouble in a 2013?

Funny you guys are having trouble with the radios. If I start my truck up with radio on fm then switch to xm you can hear the xm playing but takes a bit if time for everything to pop up on screen. I tried a new one on the lot it was way faster than mine. So they replaced it and still problem. My wife says I complain to much. And also recently saw this blurb under my clear coat. You have to look close to see it. The dealership offered to get it painted but I've seen silver get painted before and I can notice the blend. Look close at this picture near bottom of door before the body lineImageUploadedByTapatalk1382927744.263020.jpg

My issue with the EVIC is that when I use Cruise Control the speed that is being held at displays in MPH, even though I've set the Speedometer to KMs. With Cruise Control on and set at speed, if I go back to the digital speedometer screen, and cycle from KMs to MPH, then back to KMs, it works..... until I restart the truck.

So they want you to rotate tires ever 2000 to 2500 miles roughly, are they freaking insane and if they are they better be roatating those big meats for free.
