Hello all,
Was under the dash of my 2016 1500 Big Horn and noticed two foam-wrapped plugs behind the ignition module. Anyone know what they're for?

I think thats for either the harness for the push button start, or if you have that then its for the tip start. They come pre wired for both I believe. Either that its for the remote start module. im speculating of course

My truck has factory remote start and I thought that all of the trucks basically had "tip start" now because all I have to do is turn the key fob to "start" for a second, let go and the engine cranks until it starts. Who knows:)

by "tip" i was just trying to differentiate between the push button and the key. Im assuming they use different harnesses is all.

I posted the same thing but with more pics a few months ago on here or another forum. Infact I saw two foam wrapped plugs and a third one that was not foam wrapped a little deeper inside behind that area.

Somone said the two foam ones were for the trailer brake controller module or something to that effect, never found out what the third one with no foam was though.

I found out what they are for. They both plug into the factory trailer brake module that's located behind the dash.
