you must have had a bad experience with a GM one. i had a '13 camaro i posted about a problem and they PM'd me right away and were the ones to get the ball rolling at the dealer.

No problems directly. Just an observation of watching their interaction with others.

The main problem I saw was that these reps were multiple different people on the same registered log-in name. Made it confusing thinking you were dealing with one person but turned out to be multiple people. IIRC, they were contractors working on behalf of GM and not direct GM employees.

Another nuance I saw was them getting inundated with non customer service related questions like future products or models coming out that was beyond their scope or purpose.

Hopefully these reps run a different pattern but I can see it getting stupid real quick with people here thinking they can be personal and chummy with them when that is not their job.

Ramcares is currently helping me with my Lemon Law issue.

My new Ram

I have not seen any results as it has only been a day but she is offering to help. The truck has broke down 5 times now with the same problem the fuel pump not working. My dealings with 2 different dealerships for repairs has been sub par at best. To top it off this time I got a minivan as a rental. (Buy a 52,270 MSRP truck and get stuck in a minivan?) I should get compensated just for all the times I have been laughed at by co-workers and relatives. If anyone has had dealings with getting a replacement form Ram by lemon law please chime in.

I must say this is a very sore subject about Ram truck issues I had. I must say and would be wrong not say Ram is an excellent Truck! Chrysler on one hand was some what great to deal with but on the other they were not. Let me say I have owned 4 Ram trucks since 1999 coming off Ford Trucks. I only had a real issue with 1 Ram Lemon truck ,THE OTHER 3 were perfect with two never going in shop for NOTHING! I had two truck issues back to back and Chrysler fixed the first issue with very fast courteous service one could not ask any better of. I traded a 2011 Ram for the updated 13 with 8 speed and air leveling suspension the 2011 was perfect as was the 2003 as was the 1999 each time. The 2011 had a 3.92 gear coming from a 3.55 gear in the 2003. The trade from the 2011 to the 2013 was the truck that had all on it I wanted except the 3.55 gear. I drove 200 miles to the dealer to trade for it late 2013. When I got it home and towed with it I found out the Ram had a 3.21 gear but sticker said it was a 3.55. I complained to the lame dealer who offered to tear my new truck apart and put 3.55 under both ends since it was Laramie 4 WD . I contacted Chrysler after dealer told me switch gears or none. Chrysler ordered me a 14 since no 13 were left loaded like I wanted. Chrysler made a mistake and made it right by allowing for a year newer truck same price as 13 all was well and okay.
After just 3500 miles on the 14 replacement it had an Oder that would gag a skunk! I had to have truck worked on many times and gag for months, rep and dealer gave me more excuses Etc. etc. Mean while fighting the stink the truck had transmission to go out with shaft breaking in two pieces! Chrysler and rep had no reason why the shaft snapped! The stink was reduced but still present. I asked again for a 14 replacement in early year of 14 they refused. I ordered another 14 changed it to a crew cab from a quadcab and back to 3.92 gear. The truck is perfect and soon will be two years old. Chrysler ignored my calls and survey when I bough the 14 to replace the 14 and offered NOTHING!
Chrysler don't care squat about customer on one hand but does on the other some times. But the Ram truck is excellent long as you don't get a bad one. Ford and GM has not caught up to Ram yet but getting close?. We also have a 14 Charger R/T with no issues what so ever with 40000 miles on it! So Chrysler is building great machines in spite of their self!!!

Hi Hootbro,
I'm the only one assigned to the Ram Forums, so it will always be me on this handle. I am also a direct FCA employee. I'm happy to answer any questions that come my way, but I will be putting true customer concerns as a top priority over simple new model questions and such. So those questions might just take a little more time for me to get to. Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. I'm truly here to try to help you guys!

I for one am going to give FCA the benefit of the doubt, and wait and see how this works out. At least we have someone listening to our concerns/complaints and they are willing to "lend a hand". I'm sure that this, as in any dispute resolution process, there will be people that are satisfied and some people will not be. That is no different than any other product or organization. I'm looking forward to positive results and give FCA credit for reaching out to us as customers. I hope most of you will do the same.

I have also had a previous RAM truck 2005 there is a thread on it in this forum. Had it for 10 years without a single problem what so ever and my son has it now and he has had no problems either. But this 2016 what a nightmare. However they are making good and Lemon lawing the truck so I am happy as long as I do not have to wait forever for a replacement.

Don't suppose there will be a Canadian version of you? Or will you be looking after us on both sides of the border?

I can say I have been where you are and worse with Chrysler. They were fast on the first mistake Chrysler made on my truck with wrong gear. I lost most of our Summer Camping because the 3.21 mistake would not pull my Camper due to weight limits. The replacement truck was terrible to say the least. I lost a good deal of $$$ on this truck I have now from the 14 and the 13. They OFFERED NOTHING it got worse but I will drop that part. I hope you get another super fast with no problems. If this truck I have now would have failed like "Christine" did I would have left Chrysler and never looked back.I/m still not over it. LOL. This one I have now had two recalls at same time for 45 minute fix per Chrysler Recall instructions......It took many calls to Dealer then ONE call to Chrysler and 4 months later to fix a 45 minute recall from the dealer I bought it from! Good luck to you Sir:roflsquared:

almost every car forum has a rep from the company being discussed. Its great business and is in their best interest to be aware of what is being discussed and offer assistance. Now in my experience in other automobile forums they can be helpful but dont expect it to be like having a friend on your side. They can point you in the right direction and make some calls which can be invaluable, but will also lead to some false hope. The reps in the corvette forums got so verbally abused they pretty much went silent. That forum is brutal, you need some thick skin for sure. If you are ever bored and looking for entertainment i cant suggest enough going into the corvette forum and checking out the political board, and the off topic board. Its some of the biggest opinionated egos you could ever imagine.

6th time? Same thing? Might be time to get cranky. I can't understand why they drag their feet. A happy customer tells 2 people. A pissed off customer tells 200.

1 month of non-stop CELs and disabled remote start and MDS then a failed transmission landed me in a new truck AFTER I got miserable in a diplomatic way.

Hopefully they are not like the GM ones on the GM truck boards that give cookie cutter answers and never really solve anything.

Yeah, the ones on the Malibu forum were of no use whatsoever.

Yea a lot of people comment on my truck. It really looks nice. I had a paint corrected, polished and a coating put on it as soon as I bought it. I also wash it if it gets the smallest amount of dirt on it. I am thinking when people comment on it I should start telling them thanks but don't every buy one. It's in the shop more than my garage.

How did you get cranky in a diplomatic way?
