You just met the right rock, shape, speed, angle and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Thick/thin has noting to do with the infinite amount of possibilities of road debris being thrown at it.

AFAIK it's an option on all trim levels.

Maybe so, every rock that hit my 14 chipped or cracked it, I remeber my 2008 taking a beating and not cracking at all

**** happens. If blaming a thin windshield makes you feel better, that is your prerogative.

FWIW, my then new 2010 Tundra got the front windshield cracked from a rock less than a week into ownership. Just is what it is.

Hardly any after market options. We have 4 lift brands to pick from no bigger then 6 inches. No trans tuning exspencive motor tuning no 4x4 gear options 3 rear end choices one over priced cam option for the hp gained and a worthless 6 speed trans that can't handle the power of a tuned truck and no options to build it

I have to agree with you. I've been driving the same commute to work and back for the last 15 yrs. In that time I had two new F150s and a Mazda3 (don't ask) and my 2014 Ram is BY FAR the worst when it comes to the windshield getting chipped. Anything that hits it, chips it at least. Both of my F150s never get chipped or cracked windshields and the Mazda3 got nailed hard by a rock and cracked it.

the doors feel flimsy... need better damping/detents when opened, so that they don't whack you in the butt when trying to get stuff out of the truck...

LOL a few weeks after I got my truck it was real windy. I was changing my shoes in the gym parking lot hopping around on one foot with the open door behind me. im sure you can guess what happened. I was on my ass pritty fast. it was VERY funny !! and i had nobody to share the laugh with.

4 corner air suspension, when it works it's awesome but when it develops a leak it sucks

I'm sure it's been mentioned before but the Uconnect sucks. It freezes, navigation does not get enough updates and it's been replaced already on my truck but still sucks. The leather seats are also very thin leather and cheaply made. Anything else I love about the truck

My driveway is on a slight uphill slope. The detent barely holds it open.

8 speed tranny, the reaction you get when coming to a quick stop, 8 speed tranny starting out in very low gear not really smooth transition such as when in a parking lot going very slow, radio switches to volume level displaying when changing the volume, a few issues with bluetooth, voice commands suck, the horn operation, the crap stock tires, not the best heater I have had, especially on really cold days.

I'm not a fan of the gear shift knob. Wish it had a column shifter.....

My windshield has taken a pounding and held up well, has some very very small nicks but no cracks or even dings.

Man , I must've bought the best Damn 2014 Ram 4x4 QC 5.7L 6 Speed xsmn Ever built .
I love my truck !

Now don't get me wrong , I bought an Express to save some $$.

Shortly after buying it I wanted a a touchscreen radio, so I upgraded to the oem RA2 5.0" Touchscreen. Loved it .
Then I wanted a backup camera , so I installed the oem kit . Love it too !




Then I wanted tow hooks , I installed oem tow hooks . Love em .





Then I wanted an oil catch can . So I installed one . Love it .





Then I wanted to dress it up under the hood , so I installed some BT dress up items .



Then I wanted it to sit level , so I installed bilstein 5100s . Love it !







Then I wanted steps . So i installed oem nerf bars . Love them .




Then I wanted Navigation , so I upgraded my radio again to the oem RA4 8.4NA . LOVE IT IT'S AWESOME !









Then I wanted bed lighting , so I installed them . Love it !




Now I want the Premium 7" cluster . I'll probably be installing that soon , and I'm sure I'll love it too !

I'm also thinking I want to lift it 4 or 6 inches haven't decided yet and of course I'll need wheels and 35" tires .....gonna have to save up for this one

Yep I love my truck , I spend too Damn much $$ on it , but honestly almost 3 years and 38,000 miles I've had Zero issues with it , only problem is I have friends who have Ram Trucks and when I'm with them I see something their truck has that I wish mine had , and that gets expensive !
