Road force balance machine will tell if a wheel or tire is bad and it came back that they are both fine. Swapped the rears to the front with the same issue.

It’s all radiating through the pedal, floor and seats which is an indicator it’s coming from the rear.

So the tire shop has no idea why iys doing this ?

Side note sounds like you have a awesome tire shop going to so much work to try to fix the problem.

My local town fair tire. I have to say they’ve been great.

Here’s what they did for me to try to fix it:

-Balanced my tires twice
-Replaced all four tires with a better quality tire.
-Replaced all 4 tires and all 4 wheels
-Rebalanced them at another store location

After none of that worked my final attempt was I went to my RAM dealer and paid for a road force balance and had the exact size hub centric rings installed just to be positive and still no good.

Town fair said they will reimburse me 100% of my money as they’ve done everything they could.

I’m getting concerned that it’s an issue with my truck. There’s just no way at this point I can say that 8 wheels and 12 tires are all bad.

Any idea what the hell could cause this to happen mechanically. It’s ONLY in the rear mind you, the steering wheel is perfectly still and no shaking or vibration at all. Everything is through the floor and seats.

Hoping that's your answer, I feel like diagnosing vibration could be any number of things

How bad was your vibration?

Mine is literally so bad that I can see the bed shaking in my mirror while on the highway.

Mine was mostly in my steering wheel and slightly in the pedals. Nowhere near to the point of that kind of shaking

No cigar... still the same issue.

The only thing that worked was putting the stock wheels back on.

The dealer says that the aftermarket wheels basically can’t be balanced. They said the road force couldn’t see if the wheel was out of round due to the tires being large it’s hard for the machine to detect wheel abnormalities.

Kind of weird but I went online and have found Ford and GM owners having the EXACT issue with their fuel wheels. Apparently the weight of the truck in the front will mask a lot of the vibrations and when it goes to the light rear it’s basically bouncing on the highway.

I’ve gotten my full refund at Town Fair and I have ordered OEM mopar wheels that are pretty badass but expensive as hell!! I’m sticking with factory I’m done with these Chinese garbage wheels.

Here’s what’s going on next..

They said the road force couldn’t see if the wheel was out of round due to the tires being large it’s hard for the machine to detect wheel abnormalities. My dealer is pretty good as they did all this under warranty and didn’t charge me even though I had aftermarket components. They said it’s 100% the wheels being no good.

Thinking back the second set of wheels town fair tire ordered one had a road rash on it and they said it was “from delivery”. That scrape was 100% a curb. I think they are installing wheels and recirculating the “bad” ones that are being returned. Just a theory but that “new” wheel having road rash concerned me..

Those wheels are nice but keep in mind they do have the stock offset of +19mm just like any other factory 20x9 so your 35x12.50 may rub on the upper control arm (some tires do some don't), worse case you can always add a small spacer to push the wheel outward or get a narrower tire.

pics of the wheels and size info in this thread

Well that sucks, I have my own beef with fuel but at least your shop is making it right. My hubcentric Xds have been flawless, I really feel a big part of it is them not being hubcentric
