I'm looking for new wheels. The Ram 1500 bolt pattern is 5x5.50 (5x139.7). Found a set of Gear Alloy Challenger 737V wheels I'm considering. They are 20x9 with 0 offset. On the site it shows the bolt pattern as 5x5.00/5x5.50. I'm not sure what this means. Is it 5x5.00 or 5x5.50 or can it be had in either?

Also, would a 20x9 with 0 offset and 35x12.5r20 tires extend to the edge of my factory Laramie flares?

It's probably either/or on the bolt circle. I'd call to confirm.

Are you running the stock wheels now? How far in from the flare's edge are they?

The 5x5.00/5x5.50 usually means the wheel is dual drilled for multiple applications. 0mm offset is great for Ram 1500. That offset will fit basically flush with your flares as long as you don't run a 305 or larger tire.

I still have the 20x10 -18s on. Discount Tire determined I have a bad wheel causing vibrations so they said I can get a new set and pay difference in price if there is one. I just tried to measure it and they stick out about 1.25" beyond the flare now. So by my calculations a 20x9 is .5" narrower front and back of wheel and 18mm is approx .75" for a total of 1.25" so i fugure the 20x9 0 offset should be right about flush with edge of flares. I will call to see about the 5x5.00/5.550.

Those will be dual drilled with 10 bolt holes, they won't have exposed lugs either they always have those little center hubcaps to cover up the extra holes. Most of your fuel wheels are this way. It will also not be hubcentric for Ram, my guess is about 110mm so make sure you get hubcentric rings or they will vibrate too.

So how will a 35x12.5r20 tire fit with the 20x9 0 offset wheel? You saying they'll stick out further than the flare by a little? If so that's OK. I just don't want them tucked in. I want them flush with edge of flare or a little beyond the flares. With the wheels I have now it sticks on about 1.25".

My 35's are maybe 1/2" outside my flares.

The site shows the hub bore is 78mm so it should be gtg without rings. I believe the Ram is 77.8mm.

I read your above post again, you said 5x5.0 so yes that should be 78mm, that's the Jeep bolt pattern (5x127). I misread and thought it was 5x150 which is Tundra and 110mm...another common dual drilled bolt pattern (5x150 / 5x139.7)
Don't worry about the dual pattern, lots of wheel companies make them, it's easier for them and retailers so they stock less wheels
