The wait is over. Morimoto is finally releasing their vertical led fog lights and they look great. Dec 30th is the date. Will be buying these as soon as the holidays are over. 9323945a9b6adf7ee4d0cfd892b15e66.jpg

They are fantastic lights. Well worth that price. Morimoto makes a quality product. I have their HID kit in my truck. Well worth the extra money. Speaking from experience with applications on other vehicles. These lights will greatly increase the performance of your fog lights. The bulbs are magnified and will leave a clean beam pattern and utilize as much of the light output as possible where it counts. Will outperform any led kit placed in the stock halogen housings. And is way cheaper than paying for a retrofitted set of fogs at 500 dollars. I’ll post results when I get them and you will see what I mean.

Price is on par with what they charge for led fogs for other vehicles... sure you could slap something and build your own for cheaper but then again they may not look like a factory part...

I used them before on my other vehicles and couldn’t have been any happier.... already have a set preordered through Jeremy. Some won’t pay that but some enjoy being able to see as much as they can.

I’m not touching the inside of my housing so these are the perfect housing. And to have someone retro fit for you is far more expensive than these are.

That too...

You’ll spend more then $200 having someone retro something else in there for you, and probably wouldn’t perform anywhere as good. The thing is TRS puts the R&R into their products.

Yes indeed. And they use quality products and morimoto is a very high quality product. Not only that they back there product with amazing customer service. Most people do not understand, appreciate, or care about what this company is all about. They see the price and they say “nope” and put eBay crap into the vehicles they’ve spent 10s of thousands of dollars on. Makes no sense to me. To me it’s a no brainer to put the best of the best in a vehicle that you want to last for over a decade.

I assume the pricing is on point and I'm sure they are great. I'm just disappointed that they don't come in 6000k color. All other lights on my truck are 6k so these would look very weird.

They don’t? What color do they come in? I see the yellow protective film option, but all their kits have the same thing and I know these come in standard led color. I emailed them to see for sure what color you can get these particular lights in. Waiting on a reply. I have 6500k morimoto hid headlights that match my led fog lights very well. although I am hoping that I can get these lights in a yellow. I love the look of hids and yellow fogs. Plus yellow is the best color for fog performance.

Close enough to 5500k would probably match okay. You have to remember different manuf use different optics, different leds etc so what might be listed as 6500k could have more of a 5000-5500k color.

5000-5500k is the most common kelvin temp and what most manufacturers use... so I imagine that’s why TRS sticks with that.

Yeah that’s what my fogs came in, but naturally the led bulbs produce the color differently. Almost with a blueish purple tint. Just the light on the road looks white. With 6500k in my truck it adds just enough blue to look almost identical as led looking at the housings. This is the best picture I could get of the similarity

And stock projectors have almost a purple/blue tinted lens so there’s that too.

Those look pretty awesome. I'm guessing these are a straight replacement? I would need to swap to LEDs in the quad headlights though or I imagine the mismatch light would look bad.

No you would not. I run hid led combo with no noticeable difference in color from straight on. The only difference you see is the color on the road. And even that is minimal. Just get an hid color temp with a little blue in it since you have quads. Nobody coming straight at you on the road will notice. Although I’m hoping that the yellow film option is actually yellow because yellow (3000k) are best for dogs and I feel the combo looks real nice too

Confused at how people are bashing the $200 price for full housings with bulbs and resistors but have no problem dropped $130 on just a drop in LED bulb kit...?

One of life’s mysteries. It’s basically the same price as going out and buying new oem housings and halogen bulbs. I find it to be quite the deal. Plus my truck needs these the halogen housings are throwing off all the black.
