So I picked up a set of TYC chrome projectors. Should be here this weekend. I've been seeing a lot of contradicting information. Some have told me LEDs can be run in these and others have told me they can't. I know the TYC use halogen 9012 and 9005s. I've been told that Opt7 Fluxbeam X bulbs will fit but when I go to their website they don't list a 9012. What type bulb are people buying to put into the 9012 socket?

You will need to order the 9006 bulb. It will fit right into the 9012 socket with no need to customize anything.

Yes. I personally have only installed the Opt7 FluxBeam-X into Quad style headlights and they fit but a few members on here have fit them inside their oem projectors and there are a few youtube videos of ram owners fitting them into their laramie's, etc. Also over on the Ram Rebel forums there are a ton of members running tbe fluxbeam-x bulbs.

From what ive read its a really tight squeeze to make them fit but it is doable.

Are they completely plug and play do you know? And are they the $85 dollar ones on eBay?

Yes they are 100% plug n play, they come with the ECM Capacitors that you will need to prevent the antiflicker and bulb out warnings. So it comes with everything you will need.

As for the $85 ebay ones, no. Those are the original FluxBeam bulbs. The only 2 places to buy the new FluxBeam-X bulbs is Opt-7.com and eBay. They are $109.95 on both. But opt-7.com has a promo code for 10% off which is B452B6441C27461 and makes the $109.95 FluxBeam-X bulbs $99. But that promo code only works on Opt-7.com and not ebay.

I've got a set of 9006 supernova V.2 LEDs in my fogs right now. Maybe I'll throw them in the projectors to see if LEDs are the right way to go or if I'll need HIDs. What do people use in the high beam of the projectors?

Did you get the adapter harness so those new lights will work on your truck?

Noticed that. Probably won't go with opt7 then. Not a huge fan of the 6000k color.

From what I've noticed most LED lighting is in the 6k range but I haven't really looked that much into led headlighting options.
