I brought my truck to the dealer for an oil change, have an ABS error code and had them tell me the code:

C005128 - Steering Wheel Position Sensor-Signal Bias Level Out of Range / Zero Adjustment Failure

The light came on after I hit a curb... nothing major with the oversized tires... just rolled up and down the curb abruptly. Anyone know what this error code might mean?

Not sure why this happens but it's common on many MOPAR rigs.

Have her try this self adjust procedure:

1. Start the engine
2. Turn the steering wheel to the right all the way to full lock.
3. Turn the steering wheel to the left all the way to full lock.
4. Center the steering wheel, wheels pointing straight ahead.
5. Turn off the vehicle, ignition to OFF.
6. Cycle the ignition to On but do not Start.
7. Cycle the ignition to OFF.

After the last ignition cycle, wait a few minutes, then start the vehicle. If the code persists, perform the following:

1. Remove the Negative cable from the battery
2. Let the vehicle sit for 30 minutes.
3. Reconnect the battery.
4. Start the vehicle and check for codes.
5. If the code is still there, try the Self Adjust procedure one more time.

If the code persists the vehicle should be scheduled for a diagnostic scan at your dealer's facility.

I have to get an alignment done soon, do I still need to do this after the alignment? Should I do it before? After? Does it matter?
