I live in Annapolis Maryland feel free to come compare haha. I may be getting picky because now that I am in my 30's I learned to appreciate a quiet cabin lol. I saw someone else make a comment about the Cab sizes. I think the crew cab does have the muffler basically under the rear seat so that could explain why I hear it more then others...

This guy is WAY closer lol.

And yes after having out it on last week, the muffler is definitely under the bed bc the tailpipes basically start right before the rear axle.

I guess I might have to be the guinea pig and see if the suppression pipe helps. My options are either keep it in 7th gear on the highway or install the suppression pipe. I just hate the fact that I will have to cut a piece out of the factory pipe.

I think some of you guys are confusing the drone the HEMIs have in the 1700rpm range and the sound when MDS is active.

There isn't a lot you can do about the MDS sound other than disabling MDS. I've owned a bunch of different HEMI vehicles with different exhausts over the years and none of them did much for the MDS sound. The only thing that worked pretty well was the stock exhaust on my SRT with the spring loaded flaps in the pipes. I replaced it with a $1500 Corsa system which is the best system I've ever heard for the cruising drone, but even that was bad with MDS.

I definitely had a mpg loss, only because I love the sound lol. Drive your truck in manual so mds stays off

Ive heard only good things about Corsa but I cant get myself to pay that much for an exhaust system. You may be confusing the MDS with the 1700 drone. I noticed that today actually. The tone that I dont like happens in alot of the geasr around the 1500-1700 range. Regardless I am keeping the muffler, I just will avoid long road trips lol.

In regards to the HP.... yea none. I didnt expect to get any from a muffler swap... shoot I do not think you would get it out of this vehicle with a cat back exhaust.

I really do feel like my truck runs better with this muffler change, I am not saying its faster or has a bunch more power it just feels like the throttle response has more snap to it and its smoother.

just finished progressive install and test drive. Probably will never forget that first start up. sounds mean what a difference. almost a crisp snap on start up. could not be happier. Install about 1 hour. top shelf craftsmanship on the carven as well. thanks for all the input on this choice.

Installed the Progressive series on my truck last week and it sounds great, really happy with it. Was really curious how it would turn out as there is not much in terms of youtube coverage on these.
It's plenty loud, guess this is as far as you can go without interior noise becoming an issue.
Love that it sounds different than all the flowmasters and magnaflows out there, almost like they civilized a straight pipe sound and took out the rasp and high frequencies.

Does have some drone around 1500-1600 rpm. Also getting some buzzing in the floorboards at these rpms. Was worse right after the install. Either they have gotten less noticeable or I just got used to them.

Also took a couple vids to help others with their choice:

Just bolted my progressive system up on my '17 1500. Just the sound i was lookin for. Better than stock but not obnoxious at all. A lil drone but shouldnt bother me,wife or kids lol. A+ fit and finish. If u want an improvement over stock muffler this is it!!!

For those with the progressive, is it noticably more aggressive at startup than stock??

Ha Yes, you know it the second it fires off.

I would not want a muffler any louder then this Progressive myself, its perfect for me nice and loud but not striaght pipe loud.

Ive had my progressive for about 4 weeks now. I seriously considered removing it the day after I installed it because I thought it would be too loud for my 6 month old baby. First ride in it with her and she went right to sleep. I can honestly say this is the best sounding exhaust I've heard. It just sounds mean, I've gotten numerous compliments on it. It's loud don't get me wrong but it sounds amazing. I've never enjoyed the truck more.

You certainly won't mistake it for the stock system, thats for sure. :D

You probably think the progressive might be too quiet because they list it as "moderate"... I wasn't sure what to expect either cause you can't tell from videos how loud or quiet they are. believe me, there are louder setups out there but it's definitely not quiet.

Awesome thanks. I'm really just looking for something with a little more rumble on idle that sounds good when you floor it. Im leaning towards the progressive!

You should go with the progressive then, as many on here have already stated, it's louder than I expected and I wouldn't want anything more. The competitor series must be insane :D

Check out the vid I put together if you haven't already, this is a warm start up, cold start is obviously louder. The first run is WOT 0 to 70-ish...
