Has anyone tried to run a side exit exhaust on both sides? I want it to be right before the rear tire similar to this picture but I also want to do it on the driver side as well. The only problem with the driver side is the gas tank. If anyone has any ideas or input let me know.

Interested. This was originally what I wanted to do and swap my back bumper to a off-road bumper. Only downfall will be exhaust drone. QC or CC?

This is true dual exhaust, not like what many people think their rams are.

The Ford is just passenger side like this, I've looked into this extensively and it could be done, but it ain't cheap. There's a lot of re-fabbing that has to be done to make it work so I changed my mind, I wanted to go with full length side pipes in a silver powder coat. This is what I wanted to do in the second picture.

True dual means you'll need to re-figure your pipe diameter. You don't want to eliminate scavenging (back pressure is really a misnomer) by going too wide.

You'll also pay for more pipe, a second cat if you divide at the header, an "H" or "X" pipe to equalize the sides, a second muffler, and you'll need to figure a couple new hanger locations to support the extra stuff.

It might be better to stick to a single Cat, 3" single in and 2.25-2.5 dual out re-targeted for exit on each side, but put a custom double tip on before the exit point.

Either way, you're right, the gas tank is in the way on the driver side, but you could easily exit behind the rear wheels on both sides as there is plenty of room for that.
