Has anyone been running iridium plugs? My truck is due for spark plug change soon and I plan to do it myself. Just don't wanna go with factory plugs and change em again in another 30000 miles. Did some research and got a lot of mixed opinions on iridium ones. All I want is longer service life and reliable performance. Anyone???

I have read--->Iridium plugs are a good match for the Hemi design.

Ran Autolite XP's (Iridium enhanced) in the 09 for 40k with no issues. (traded truck in on a 14) Actually have another 16 on the shelf waiting to go in the 14 someday.
Dual platinum's or other Irids may last longer than the XP's as XP's are marketed as 'performance' plugs and the ground strap has no 'precious metal' treatment.
I've been installing fine wire plugs into all my cars/trucks/toys for quite a while now. I really don't see myself ever going back to 'regular' plugs anytime soon.

Thanks for the replies guys! I have read that Autolite's quality is kinda hit and miss though. Is there any NGK iridium plugs that I can run for the hemi? Searched their website and nothing came up... sigh

No. Called the dealer today and confirmed that I have cheap ass Champion nickel plugs in mine. I think '14+ have NGK double platinum plugs which are good for 100k. My truck was manufactured in May 2013

Guessing from the date on the OP, that he's not around anymore. From everything I've read, some time in '15 is when FCA went to the different coils/long life plugs. Everything before has the coppers, and the Hemi doesn't seem to like anything else. I haven't heard of anyone swapping out the early coils with the later ones, but I'm guessing it could be done.

I believe they made the switch in plugs sometime with the late production of the 2013 models, with early production in that year having copper. I have read you can go from copper to iridium if you change out the coils.
