Has anyone actually installed a supercharger kit yet? If so how much of a difference did you notice?

I had a procharger P1SC, wanted more so I got a D1SC, wanted more so I pulleyed down and made 12psi, wanted more, designed and built the only 4th gen cog drive system with a F-1A. Still want more, need a 1000hp capable trans first. Beware of boost, it's addictive.

I'm quite satisfied with my Procharger system and it keeps getting better with every additional upgrade; set of ARH headers is next in a few weeks :driver:

For those that have gotten the procharger kit on your truck, how is the transmission holding up? I have heard rumors of extended wear on the transmission

The procharger is the easiest on the 5/6 speed trans as it's not a sudden hit to the input clutch drum before the line pressure ramps up. Positive displacement blowers killed the 5/6 speed very quickly which is why you don't find them offering them for the 545/65rfe trucks. Since yours is a '12, expect to replace a trans with a 6-7psi blower anywhere from 6 months to 3 years depending on if you drive it properly or not.

I have not heard of any failures from 'stock' supercharged 8 speeds aside from the initial tailshaft casting issues in the '13 2WDs. The 8 speed has been holding up well behind both the trucks and cars but as with any power adder, the more power the shorter the life span of driveline components.

If you have the 8-speed as I do, it will be fine as it can handle up to around 600hp without damage. Been running mine for a couple years with no issues.

I've got a whipple sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. Should be doing that this weekend. Whipple claims 170hp gain at the wheels.

20,000 or so, very reliable, only issue I'm running into at the moment is serpentine belt slippage, which my speed shop and I are now addressing.
