When I see the blue one it always makes me think of doing a nose job on mine. Lot of 06-08 front ends I don’t care for but that looks mean

Thank you sir, I try to keep em tough looking, but ive decided to keep the old nose on my black truck

I do like the grill on my red truck alot though

Someone (A friends mom) backed into my truck a couple of days ago. I was standing about 100 yards away and hurt a "crunch" sound and didn't think anything of it until someone called me over there and told me what happened. I went and looked at my truck-- not even a scratch. Left a huge dent in her car though

Needless to say I love having a metal bumper

Clean and oil CAI filter

Oil change with Royal Purple

New headlight enclosures (OEM style) I might restore/ retrofit the originals if I can find good examples of it being done.

Replaced broken fog light enclosure and replaced wire harness

Need to find a level drive and a wall where I can adjust lights.

New throttle body

Replaced battery terminals

Considering:
A new OEM style steering wheel as my leather wrap is trashed

Getting my OEM aluminum wheels refinished unless I can do it myself

Replacing grill as it has a slight crack near the latch

While composing an ad n checking KBB value for my 2008 1500 Big Horn quad cab with 6 spd m.t.; I ran across a factoid for us that prefer three pedals. In 2009 for all trucks sold in U.S., .8% were made with manual transmissions. Now, the number is even less :>(

So lame that trucks with sticks are becoming Obsolete. If I could have any one thing changed about my truck it would be a manual trans

Cant tell what year you have (stupid tapatalk) but my trucks thread has a full retrofit done in it and it's in the progress of a second set (I might've done a separate thread for the 1st set I dont remember) along with a few other members who have done it. Or if your just wanting pictures to look at of finished ones for examples go to retroshop.us and click on customer rides or gallery or whatever and there are many ram headlights done in all years to check out [emoji106]

The manual is the reason i wont sell my 08, its such a rare thing, when my customers see that truck the first thing everyone says is “holy **** thats a stick” except for the few that have said “what is that sticking out of the floor”

Thanks, dude. It’s an 05 2500. Main reasons I replaced stocks were clear coat failure and a diffuser came loose on driver side. Kind of considering getting rid of the orange reflectors. At the least if I do anything at all it will be to fix the two main issues. And if I’m feeling froggy I might do some paint. Not necessarily looking to change bulb style unless I see something I like, which is unlikely, I’m an OEM fan. Thanks again.

I got ya. Well heres a example of projectors with 35W HID, you can see the light output is 100X that of factory. This is low beamf60006f08ecec772eca2d93b94a5458f.jpg

+1 on the clearcoat failure. My first set of aftermarket headlights had clearcoat flake after a year of being on the truck. Demon-HeMi showed me how to fix em. They turned out pretty decent but a polisher would've saved a lot of work lol

Anyways, I don't know if they make them for 02-05, but I found some OEM-style headlights with projectors on amazon for my 06. Aside from screws that are too short I can't complain a whole lot about these. I wanted the OEM look like you did and I just happened to come upon these with projectors already installed. I'm planning on getting HIDs soon and those are just icing on the cake

In case yall wanted to see progress, here are my fenders for my black truck as i made progress on them today...

They came from a truck that had flares, so naturally had to sand them smooth feom where they ate in the paint...

c509d4856f78cd1d1494e1ed16e7e9c7.jpg

The driver side fender had a decent dent near the door, so i massaged the metal back close and used a small amount of filler to smooth it out

c61941f30d42cb17451f04c41a1a777d.jpg

Bodywork done, ready for final sanding and paint

d490e46a55a2e05aa6a439757117143a.jpg

Passenger fender had a few dents and an antenna that had to be taken care of...

Dont let the large areas of body filler fool ya, almost all of it was sanded off leaving a smooth finish

64950bd6489e98f47a5af2b9f440b5a6.jpg

And then some light primer and ready for paint like the other fender...

So thats the last of the 3rd gens and them having antennas, now the black truck and blue truck are both fully shaved except for door handles...

More will come soon with these as they get primered and painted, hopefully tomorrow

One day I’d love to know what your painting process involves, probably more than I could ever do but im always blown away by how well your painted panels blend with the rest of your trucks

Everything that gets painted has its own process, some panels require different work then others, what kind of work do you have questions about maybe I can guide you with what you need to do

I don't have any paint projects right now, I've just always been impressed with how well your paint projects turn out and just curious lol
