That would be good but that would cost more than the whole deal, now im just hoping my rubber cement over the emblem idea will work as well as it did last time i tried it.

Hey questions guys. Does the back plate for the hood emblem come off? I snapped the ram head trying to get it off but the raised part is still on there. Ohh and primer is on!

Im not really sure how your grille is...in the 06-08 its just a clip that holds the emblem in, and it is recessed

Honestly, I got the compressor and HVLP guns because of my spray painted grille. I couldnt get it as shiny as I wanted, theres just no comparison in real clear and spray bomb clear. Anyway, the bugs would never fully come out and it bugged me (not a pun). When I got ready to finish with the sprayed poly paint, I was prepping my spray paint job and started sanding to get the bugs out.

The bug guts have eaten through all the spray paint to the sanded plastic chrome.

I think it will need a thicker coat than what that can give, I got all the primer on it, now just waiting on the paint for tomorrow.

how long does your primer say it needs to dry before laying color? Some say it can be done in an hour, but if you want - sometimes its 24-48 hours?

Got it all back together, somehow I misplaced 1 clip, but the others were re-usable, that punch really helped me there. A few blemishes, but hopefully nothing the wax wont hide, hopefully....

ohh yeah I am lol, especially since thats right on my brand new couch and it still reeks. Its dark outside right now so I cant put it back on just yet, that and the paint is still on a few hours old so I wanna let it cure up overnight so I can wax it up real nice.

Do NOT wax that fresh paint. Use some rubbing compound to shine it up and wait a month or so to wax it.
