So edelbrock used to make shorty headers for our trucks? Wtf why did they stop making them?

They quit making them years ago. They were actually mid length headers.

I found a set of them and they're advertised as shorties. Guy only had the CARB number for them and when I looked them up only came up with them being shorties

They were called Tri Y headers, and were a mid length design. They may have made a shorty setup as well, but the Tri Y mids are what most guys were using back then. They have not offered these for at least 5-6 years though, so any that you find now will be used or very old leftover inventory.
