I bought my '05 Ram with about 70,000. I always assumed it had iridium spark plugs like (almost) all other modern engines, and was good for 100,000 or so.

Time gets away with me and BOOM it has 124,000 miles, and I joined this Forum to start researching my next truck, which very well might be a new one.

Learning my truck came from the factory with Copper plugs which have likely NEVER been changed, and trying to save up a HUGE down payment which might take another year or two, I decided last Sunday to yank a plug.

Yea, I changed them all to new Champion Coppers, but......

I gotta wonder, if those Copper plugs ran 125,000, ( 4 TIMES WHAT IS RECOMMENDED) how long might the new Rams with iridium plugs run if neglected?

Spoken like a true salesman. Not paying any interest is totally free. Why finance more than you have to and add to the interest costs?

In case of Zombie Apocalypse get the biggest and baddest truck, finance for 15 years and then when it happens in 2 years, you got a 60 grand truck for 6 grand :naughty:
