TCM swap

Okay. Might be a stupid question thatll get answered in two seconds but is it possible to swap out TCMs.

I have an 04 2500 5.7 and hate not having TCM tuning that its to the point i want to get a newer TCM or try superchips (i heard they can tune 04s).

Any input is appreciated

You can stack tuners to have the sc trans control but I believe you need a Dsp to do that idk if Intune will work. You could do the 05 tcm swap but your better off getting an 05 or have a donor truck to get everything you need. A local guy with a hemi swap in his 04 Dakota did the 05 ram computer swap so can be done

Keep in mind you don't have a separate TCM. 04 and 05 have a combined PCM. You would have to rewire/repin to use the 05 PCM in your 04.

Ive read its a pain in the balls to swap. Any idea how long this takes and whether or not itd be better to let a shop do it?
