This won't be near as involved or custom or cool as a lot of you guys in here, but I just go done ordering a load of equipment and wanted to stake a place where I can share photos from self installing it all.

The Equipment

Headunit: 8.4" RA4 (installed in August '15)

Front Doors: Rockford Fosgate Power T252-S components
Rear Doors: Kicker 40CS654
Dash: nothing, I tried Kicker 41KSC354, but they were too much so I sent them back
Subwoofer: JL Audio SB-D-QDRAM/10W3v3 stealthbox
Power: Rockford Fosgate R600X5
LOC: AudioControl LC2I

No alpine. I started with the RA1 text only basic express radio. Did an upgrade to the RA4 with nav last year.

Been reading through some of the other build threads. Trying to decide on A-pillar or sail mounting for the tweets.

I like sail (flush and on axis) over stock dash location. Sails will naturally point your tweet slightly down and towards the dash if you have straight flush or surface mount. You can get new sails for $30 a pair. Not sure what an A-pillar costs if you have to replace it.

I imagine wiring would be slightly easier too since I can tuck the crossover somewhere in the door. I'll only have to pass one pair of wires to the door.

I would throw them in the sail. I've had the same t252-s and they sounded awesome. The tweets are a bit bright but with the xover you can bring down the db on them.

Pushing wires through the doors isn't too difficult. You can run them through the door boot. Driver's side, I had to get the E-brake plate loose as it covers the hole. You can take the wires off the door with a torx T15 bit in a small socket. Passenger side should be a bit easier but it took longer for me. There is a leather looking cover you should remove to find the wire hole. I hear back doors are even easier.

Looks like most of my equipment will start arriving tomorrow, the sub will be here on Friday. I plan on getting up extra early on Saturday and taking advantage of the daylight on Saturday and Sunday. Hoping to get everything in this weekend. I also took Tuesday of next week off in case I need to finish anything off.

Stealthbox still hasn't come in. The tracking shows it "held" at the local fedex ground terminal. Their customer support says they don't deliver ground packages on the weekend. So I'm making a trip out to this warehouse to try and get it.

Today was a hard day. Ran speaker wire to all four doors. Installed the loc, amp, and subwoofer.

Still need to install the components, apply the KnuKonceptz Kolossus, and tune in the amp tomorrow.
