B pillar insulation replaced with 1/4 in dynaliner. I won't use dynamat for fear of the butyl sliding down or dripping and sticking to the seatbelt mechanism at the bottom. :naughty:

Reading my post I messed up. Not how the dynamat is held up, but how the headliner is. The headliner on the 300c is velcro, clips, and sorcery. Once I pulled it down it was a rattle trap. Im curious to how the Ram's headliner is held up.

The butyl won't run down the pillars if you use it. I've had mine all done for several years now and not even in the door panels that get the most heat has any of the butyl run. If you used cheap stuff that also had asphalt in it then yes, it can run, but not with a 100% butyl material.

Good. I redid it with Dynamat then 1/4 dynaliner. Solid as a rock now lol.

Here is dynaliner 1/4 in done everywhere on the deck except the bench and rear wall, both at 1/2 in. The dynaliner is so much easier than the Dynamat.

And this was a major ***** move... I dislodged the air vent which attaches to the bottom of the console. YEP, I had to tear the ****** down and remove the cupholder to reinsert the vent. PITA.

Here I finished the dynapad. This **** is 1 lb/sq ft. Heavy, needs no adhesive. Cut and drop into place. This was a breeze. I opted to not put this under the front seats. I plan on putting an amp under the driver seat with a wooden platform and bare metal ground, and I don't want heat issues.

This is a 3 step process and you can see the difference in thickness and material. I have not done the doors, roof or hood yet. I put my driver's seat back in and took it for a spin. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, it is hugely different. My music sounds cleaner. The road noise is dramatically less, and when I jumped on the gas, my Magnaflow exhaust note was tolerable. Getting ready for the doors next.

My wife said there is a noticeable echo cancellation inside. I told her that means I hear her less now. I will post a pic of me on the couch tonight.... lol.

When I dampened, CCF, &MLV'd my entire truck, I could hear my wife breathing while going down the interstate. It was like a bank vault. The roof was my last project and it didn't make much of a difference besides removing resonances. Doors, back wall & floors are a must, roof not so much

Did driver's side rear door today. I did a ****load of research on Youtube watching people tear into their carrier plates. Dismantling was a piece of cake... reassembly was somewhat tedious. (Can't seem to attach more than 1 pic at a time, but next few updates are the chronology.

Dynamat first on the both the carrier plate and the door cover, just to eat some of the resonance.

And then 1/8 in. Dynaliner. I read where people had to do a lot of trimming when they used 1/4, so I just went 1/8th + the Dynamat.

The door cover now weighs a ton!

The door is amazingly solid. I had my wife rap on the outside and compare it to the driver door. It feels like a vault door now. I may get a chance to do the other rear door tomorrow.

Running low on Dynamat, as I now finished the deck, rear wall and both rear doors. I will try to get at least one more door done this weekend.

What's the deal with the two flappy doodads on the rear wall and can they be dynomated over?
